From New York

Finance is one of the mainstay industries in New York City. Many financial and legal firms are located in the Financial District.

Though most, if not all, of the iconic corporations with their baronial boardrooms have left the Financial District, it persists as a center for finance, stock trading (the New York Stock Exchange is one of the last great stock exchanges not to embrace electronic trading), law, and venture capital.
